Rather than keep posting new threads about crap I thought I'd start a blogging thing.
Me? Married, 3 kids, Run 2 pharmaceutical companies, a firework company and a farm, background in agriculture and then engineering and my hobby seem to be collecting projects that don't get done!
Anyway new addition to the workshop yesterday. Not a lot to look at but not bad for £200 and it was local. All working and recon itll clean up a gooden

tidy enough for the money .... picked one up for @Traktorist in '17 .... he beat me to the ad. ..... palletised it and shipped it out to him in Slovenia .... Metod was well happy with it ... a lot cleaner, but £325 and a pallet to Ljubljana .... they're not a bad lil' saw those

picked this one up off ebay last year ..... 400 quid and a ton for the double pallet as it's over 7ft long .... have had quite a few of the Mebas over the years and sold me last one for a grand, so was well happy with this one

bit of titivating, bit of wiring and plenty of cleaning and she came up real well

Ye, really handy bit a kit. Used to have one of those cheap sealey pieces of crap but the motor blew and been struggling with disks ever since as I couldn’t find a motor that’d fit cheaper that what a new one would a cost. Think it cleaned up pretty well and just fits in

Harrison m300 mate. Really handy little lathe for odd jobs. Couldn’t be without it and the mill as between them you can make pretty much anything

thought it might be a lil' Harrison miller beside it ... odd colour though - usually grey

Mill is a Beaver Model A. Nice little well built machine.

I take it you are blessed with a 3ph power supply to your man gave? I got a big shed but only single phase supply
I enquired about a 3ph supply install and was told I need 12 spans of poles and conductors coming to £120k then I’d need to get a transformer so needless to say I left it at that. Be cheaper using a genny if and when required

You could always look at phase converters
They will run lathes and mills and the like but unsure if they will run welders

They take a figure and treble it I think ..... £3k for me genny, still gives me 12ks-worth of cherry to burn, 'fore I get to their silly figure and still have a genny to sell if / when i didn't need 3ph any more ..... plus I can have 3ph anywhere and can run the house if I needed to, for any prolonged power failure/cuts.
SSE are very good though, if they're gonna be off more than an hour they'll bring a genny here, as I'm on their critical drugs/equipment list and the fridge needs to be kept 'alive' ..... so they just hook up the whole house ....... but with out that facility, me genny'd be real handy for that too

Ye, well lucky as have my own 11kva line up to the house so I just run 3ph off the meter tails to wherever I need it. I think I’d go the genny route if I didn’t. I understand those phase converters really drink the old power?

Well what an awesome day actually managed to ignore all the jobs needing doing round the place and spent the day building a treehouse with the kids . Should have it finished tomorrow . Just hope they don’t fall out the fucker as it’s a tad higher than my first beam looked

Managed to get half a day in on the treehouse. Went to take some old core sample trays over to use for the walls and the breaks on the tractor started to bind so spent the morning sorting them out. Treehouse don’t look too bad as it’s all built out of scrap off of skips. Only had to buy some screws and some netting that’ll go up the sides of the stairs as it’s 10’ high and don’t want little ones falling off. Mind you I wouldn’t want to fall of it either at that height
