Charity dontion

Hi All
Its been a while since the group did a charity donation ( last was for Trax RIP) and then probably my brave the shave (thanks)

We lost one of my two Auntie's a few years ago aged 48, the hospice she passed at was amazing and my other auntie is asking for donations for her 48th birthday. Hey you dont have to but lovely to raise awareness. even if its just £1

I’ve been reluctant more recently to give to big charity organisations because so much of what is donated goes to wages within the charity. I’m not into social media at all but I’ve been really impressed by some of the charitable crowd funding stuff that goes on . I’m up for any direct funding of good causes that could be supported .

One of Pam's pet rants ......
when you have a chief exec on £150k, min. and various minions on £70-80 grand each plus 'benefits' ....
then they expect the foot soldiers to all be volunteers, they get rate free shops, reduced rents.....
then they compete with all around them selling new gear from subsidised outlets ...
All the 'big ones' need some serious looking into/at ... end of

would far rather support a 'direct collection' that goes directly to the target ........... and cuts out ALL the leaches that suck the life blood out of these often very worthy causes .......
Charities have become BIG business, providing big incomes, for the few in their upper echelons

seems every man and his dog can get charitable status these days for just about anything ....

Might start a Druid's Tilty Charity and provide a home for retired, or abused tiltys .... no VAT, no tax, no rates (that'd be a good un ) and take £100k a year for **** all ..... let's all become charities
