Stihl had an electric groundsaw at the APF that they were claiming is as good as a petrol saw - it was crap IMO. Heavy, slow, expensive and unrefuelable on site (unless you carry 4 tonnes of batteries around with you). It might be the best of the current bunch but it’s still crap.New Stihl 220T got a warning light etc for chain oil thought was a good idea as likewise I've had my 161 run a bit low.
Stihl is a chunk of wonga but after my experience with the 161 and ap300 battery .. the 220 is now in the to buy list...ran one alongside 201 at APF basically same .
Yes I'm not a fan of leccy groundsaws agreed...Stihl had an electric groundsaw at the APF that they were claiming is as good as a petrol saw - it was crap IMO. Not any more. Missed the best of the tree work by about 70 years. I could see myself with an AEC Matador and a big old Danarm. There isn’t a tree in the UK that’s too big for that!
