Not sure where this would go so I’ll put it here and if it needs moving please do.
Been asked to get this beast running to sell for the owner, personally never seen be before but apparently used widely on the railways and also can be used in n lorry wheel nuts!!
Anyway, obviously been sat for a while and the pull cord was missing, so I cleaned the air filter, removed the plug, cleaned, and decided just to gently rotate it to make sure there were no weird noises etc.
Unfortunately when I tried to rotate using a drill/driver I found the threads had been stripped on the nut and so it stopped there until I can obtain a new nut, left hand thread I believe.
Any info or experience with these will be much appreciated

What you want to know about them? Unfortunately I have the pleasure of using these regularly.. little knkb beside the primer bulb is the torque settings. There should be a forward neutral reverse on the side of the impact housing. Gearbox in it doesn’t like much abuse.

Basically where can I get spares for it.
The pull cord is missing, although the cover and other bits are there, I should be able to get a nut with a left handed thread, ( I’m assuming it’s a left handed thread ).
And, is it worth spending the time on getting it running and cleaning it up to sell.

Oh, what’s the blue button by the spark plug
Only place I know of that does spares is in Northern Ireland not sure about England Scotland or wales but they are called RIVVAL rail and I’m nearly sure the spares for our stuff comes from them or direct from cembre themselves. And that beside the spark plug is a decompression button. Sorry if I’m telling you how to suck eggs but to start them, and they are a twat to start, you pull trigger in and lock with the switch button behind it.. then press decomp and obvisiously prime it there’s also a choke switch in the area of the primer bulb.

pic of the whole thing'd be useful

I swapped @Mogman mine for his winch -- hadn't run it in a long time, but had used it in the past .. dare say Mog'll have had it running by now

Am I right in thinking that the nut that has stripped will be a left handed thread due to the direction the pull cord operates

I honestly have no idea at all regarding the thread, never actually had that part of it stripped down, I’d guess it’s a b**tard thread alright 😂

sorry missed your request for a better pic, I’ve taken a walk around video for you 🙈😂
And trying to sort bits out for these is a bloody nightmare unless you’re a major company or you send it off for them to price the repairs for you.
Anyway hopefully the clip will load.

And still it goes on, more chance of getting blood from a stone than getting parts for these.
You have to be a registered customer/company and not a private individual with all the companies I’ve contacted so far.
I’ve listed it for sale as spares or repair for now, if I can get hold of bits for it then I’ll carry on fettling.
I’m sure it doesn’t need much to get it going.

Just had a thought and I dunno if it’s worth a try, is speedy hire in England? Sorry if that’s a stupid question, If so they hire a hell of a lot of railway equipment, maybe thinking if you asked they might be able to get you parts? Just a thought?
