The skid steer controls on joysticks looks a cool idea

I've had a go on them on the smaller range. Would I use stick steer and would It be deciding factor. Yes.Anyone try’d the new Cat 302.7 or 303 CR machines?

Also the cab tilts back, fantastic access to everything, looked at one at Plantworks, @Gunners has some video on his YouTube channel. No you still have both options. Saves back ache it says!
Peddles are nightmare to use if you are tall & have big feet!
As long as they age wellReplacing servos with electric joysticks and valves is a stroke of genius. Definitely number 1 on my shortlist for E27 replacement one day.
Air con option even on the 1,8t is leading the way too.
That was my thought, all depends on the quality I guess? As long as they age wellnot sure that amount of extra electrics will necessarily be a good thing on a 10 year old machine...
Probably have a set of hybrid bike pedals so you can keep fit work and save the planet all at the same time, it's a win win winThat was my thought, all depends on the quality I guess?
I ten years time the whole thing may be electric anyway.
Flip flop brigade may convert them to rope operation![]()
India, et al, will be burning coal and petrochemicals in the next centuryProbably have a set of hybrid bike pedals so you can keep fit work and save the planet all at the same time, it's a win win win
They do a 2.7T & 3.1T , What Stability issues could there be?Also the cab tilts back, fantastic access to everything, looked at one at Plantworks, @Gunners has some video on his YouTube channel.
Only issue could be the weight if towing, several different specs. And counterweight options.
Also I believe they are set up ready for tiltrotator fitting potentially saving money on installation. Would want to look carefully at stability and weight though![]()
Money pitIndia, et al, will be burning coal and petrochemicals in the next century.... and laughing at the pr*cks in the west / rest of the world
just listening to HM Gov. promising 1/2 Billion quid to Tata to decarbonise Port Talbot .... be cheaper to let 'em shut it ... massively subsidised already
**** knows how much they get from us in foreign aid already .. a country with two space programs and have just successfully landed on the dark side of the moon .. which the rest of the world never managed .. and we're giving them foreign aid FFS![]()

The next gen CAT's are very good. Excellent cabs, and good legroom. You can adjust the feel of the levers in the screen. Actually you can adjust pretty much everything. They do a 2.7T & 3.1T , What Stability issues could there be?
So the sticks are electric ? Would take a bit of getting use to?
Had a manitou tele that was electric joy stick,Great! Why they changed back is a step backwards i think.
Stability issues is a concern then, As i would be putting my tilt rotator on it. As far as i can see you can get a 100kg or 250kg counterweight,But that is pushing weights well up!The next gen CAT's are very good. Excellent cabs, and good legroom. And there's no stuff under the cab! Like literally zero stuff! Myself and Shovelhands spent half the day laughing at where all the stuff was on that machine
They do have stability issues, I know of two people now who have had one on order with the idea to get a tiltrotator fitted and have gone down another route because at the time the extra counterweight wasn't available. They are basically a zero tail machine and despite what people say, I don't think just extra counterweight can combat the weight of a tiltrotator. Plus it takes them overweight. I know someone else on the forum is having this issue with a different brand currently - without moving the body back on the slew ring like a proper counterweight machine is, its going to be hard to sort the stability issue out.
They are indeed easy to fit a tiltrotator to because of the way they are wired up. I'm told this saves fitting of a valve and therefore cheaper - worth knowing! I'm sure someone on here can confirm exactly why this is.
They are made in China though, and I know that's important to some of us, although cant really knock the quality they are turning out.
I did a comprehensive review of the 308 next gen including all the stick steer features - its not something that would seal the deal for me personally but its got its uses, especially on a long track across site.
I've never had any stick time. What didn't you like?I guess I'm the only one, but I demo a 302cr cab machine and wasn't impressed.
What didn't you like about it? Personally wouldn't contemplate a zero in this size class. Just spent a bit of time using customers JCB 4.7t. It's the most unstable pointless machine ever. No point having all the power if the machine can't handle it.I guess I'm the only one, but I demo a 302cr cab machine and wasn't impressed.
Is port Talbot near llandarcy refinery that was I used to work down there on the decontamination I think they have now built houses where the refinery was no chance I would buy one I know what's underneath in the soil and its nastyIndia, et al, will be burning coal and petrochemicals in the next century.... and laughing at the pr*cks in the west / rest of the world
