Tim (traxcavator) used to call them the Bedfordshire MafiaI spoke with him today . Seems a nice enough guy . He’s only just put it on so wants near the advertised 46k . Says he’s compared with what else is for sale but I can’t see he has done his homework properly .
I made the comparison to this . 2013 6K hours for 28K .
I’ve left 35k on the table and mentioned mine as possible part ex . Mine is still going well (touch wood !) so no panic on my behalf

This is a big main dealer selling this one. Bear in mind everything’s a bit dearer an hour or 2 away from the end of the motorway.probably still have it this time next year, going on all the comments on the one Vin put up![]()
moral is .... buy closer to the end of the motorway thenThis is a big main dealer selling this one. Bear in mind everything’s a bit dearer an hour or 2 away from the end of the motorway.
If I travel to (Lets say for example) Bristol, to look at something that needs hauling, I lose a day (worth about £400+vat) then its another £400 (at least) to get a wagon up and back. I had a Portacabin 40x 12 pulled down from Worcester a few years back, cost me £1750+vat, and this month I had one moved 20 miles locally and it cost me £700+vat. Getting stuff here isnt cheap, so something local is easily worth £1000 more compared to Bristol, and if its Midlands or oop north or Cambridge or something then its a 14-20 hour round trip easily, so it adds up. Must be even worse for the lads that live 2+ hours away from me down the far end of Cornwall. Let alone the Scilly Isles. I dont even bother looking at the Auctions due to the logistics.moral is .... buy closer to the end of the motorway then![]()
everything I ever fancy/want or buy is usually in bloody Norwich - 500 mile round trip for me - you're not the only oneIf I travel to (Lets say for example) Bristol, to look at something that needs hauling, I lose a day (worth about £400+vat) then its another £400 (at least) to get a wagon up and back. Bloody Devon is huge. I am over on the edge, and some parts of it are 2 hours away if you have a trailer on. Went to Sidmouth yesterday and it was a 3 hour round trip.everything I ever fancy/want or buy is usually in bloody Norwich - 500 mile round trip for me - you're not the only one![]()
And all the stuff I want is there !Reading this I am sometimes glad NI is such a small place, an hour gets you to most areas
It's huge and has appalling roads. Think I've read that Devon has the most road of all counties. And id reckon 80% of those are fit for little more than a horse and cartBloody Devon is huge.
