Canycon s100 belt tension

My 1 ton tracked dumper which is Badge engineered as a Kubota but its a canycon s100 eat a belt a few weeks ago turned out pulled had come loose and woodruff key misshaped pulley off to engineers sorted and new key installed and loctited back up

working it hard in mud with big loads been smelling belts

so we tightened tensioner this morning thinking better a bit tighter but then bang belt snapped.

belt and pulley hot like they’ve been slipping but not going to try running at less tension as per manual but not got official belts only what’s supplier had closest to spec belt

Would running with too much tension cause heat ?

putting a bit less in the skip'd help significantly I'd have thought

Sush if it sticks and doesn’t fall out it’s fine

It’s actually really light friable stuff from old compost heap not much weight to it dx10 with 600mm bucket throwing it Rd at full reach
