The Mearns Hire machine is real, a one-off conversion of a D11. Doubtful we’ll ever see a D12, the market wasn’t there for the D575 Komatsu?

Jokes and sarcasm aside—whether you’re talking about a D15 with a jet engine or a D20 with a space-shuttle-style atomic engine—I suspect that, all things considered, using two bulldozers in tandem (or other types of earthmoving equipment) is more practical for large-scale excavation than relying on a single, gargantuan machine—one that might be slow, clumsy, and consume as much fuel as an ocean liner. It might not be a Komatsu, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Chinese—or perhaps the Russians—eventually churn out some massive beast just to flex their muscles. Please forgive the sarcasm and irony! Thanks for your contributions.
