this really belongs in the c****s thread, but it never comes up in a search .......

" Bribes totalling more than £600,000 "
and these guys were amateurs BTLs :oops:
" The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) said this afternoon that it has arrested three people in connection with a new multi-million pound international bribery investigation. ......the SFO said: “Individuals at Blu-3 are suspected of paying over £3m of bribes to former associates of Mace Group in relation to the construction of a data centre in the Netherlands for the technology giant Microsoft. "

really???? :unsure::unsure:

" Demand for new data centres is outstripping the construction industry’s ability to deliver, it is being suggested. .......Adding to developers’ worries are concerns about the financial sustainability of the few contractors capable of delivering data centres at scale. The collapse of ISG in September 2024 was a wake-up call for the industry "

and as if leccy chariots don't stress the grid enough ..... " Commissioned capacity has surged by nearly 300% since 2023 with operators averaging 47MW each this year ........The growth of artificial intelligence is driving soaring demand for energy, power density and liquid cooling "

must be catching ........

" A Devon housing development has emerged as the centre of a web of corruption.

Richard King and Timothy Patterson of RK Civil Engineering admitted to paying bribes

Six people have been handed jail sentences for their involvement in a criminal conspiracy that included bribery, money laundering and fraud centred on the Cranbrook development in East Devon.

Three construction bosses admitted to bribing then-employees of energy company E.ON for contracts on a major Devon housing development to the tune of around £2m. "

" Housing developers will be able to build on once-protected green spaces without having to replace the loss of nature in the nearby area ....
New nature areas, parks and community gardens created to offset the removal of green spaces to make way for housing developments may not even have to be in the same county, under the new planning and infrastructure bill "

and he's at it again ......
" he has written to Islington council to say he will also make the decision on the Archway Campus scheme in north London. "

this quote is somewhat alarming
" The London mayor said at the end of last month he will make himself the planning authority for the Baltic Wharf scheme in Paddington. "

WTF does he think he is ?????????:unsure:o_Oo_Oo_O

Don't worry - Genghis will rubber stamp it in his new role as a "Planning Authority"
Genghis at it again

" Khan’s new policy of looking to the green belt mirrors national planning guidance changes announced by deputy prime minister Angela Rayner who welcomed Khan’s change of course. ":mad:

" The Mayor of London today said his position has changed because a brownfield-only approach will not be sufficient to meet housing need.
Khan said City Hall will now “actively explore the release of parts of London’s green belt for development”.......
Khan’s new policy of looking to the green belt mirrors national planning guidance changes announced by deputy prime minister Angela Rayner who welcomed Khan’s change of course. ......
the capital needs 88,000 new homes a year to meet demand. ....... the London Plan needed to plan for 880,000 homes – 10 years’ supply.....
Building 88,000 homes a year would be a significant increase in current build rates for London. There were around 35,000 completions in London in the year to 31 March 2023.
"

and WTF is gonna build all these then Ghengis ??????:unsure:o_O
