thought they were plain bushes/bosses with fixed (pinned/bolted) pins on the 3Cs with wear taken in the dipper end/tip link bushes

the old 3c jcb buckets had spring bushes in them back in the 1960s and 70s manys the time ive changed the spring bushes from one bucket to the other while doing bucket change, there were a few guys that didnt even use the spring bushes the bucket would sway all over the place.not judging by the spring bushes in it

last new 3cx i drove in 2014 had spring bushes in the jcb buckets if you had a quick hitch the bucket pins were stepped to do away with bushes in the bucket the ditching/grading bucket did not have spring bushes though just normal pins.

Our 2017 100C has those spring bushes. They’re crude but they do a job.

Does the 100c use 3cx type buckets, or larger buckets just using similar style of bushes?

Ugly to be sure, but cheap and easy to replace.
A mate who works on JD plant looked at mine and pronounced them "fu%ked".
He had trouble believing they were new!

If you check the bucket pins on your 100C I’m pretty sure they will be imperial, 1 3/4”, although the pins and bushes will be listed in metric sizes, they will equate to the old 3cx imperial size. Every other pin on the machine will be metric 45mm 50mm 60mm etc

Yes 3cx, the biggest cockup they did! Give it proper excavator style buckets! Or it may as well be a 8 tonner!

Yes, that was my thinking, the buckets a bit small, for a 10tonner, and 3cx buckets are not the strongest especially when used with 7/8 tonners never mind 10t.
Disclaimer, I use 3cx buckets on both the duckling and 7.5t, I had quite a few from the 3cx + attachments, and didn't to be messing with different buckets for different machines.

It was really tempting to keep my 15 3cx buckets when I stopped running them and fit straight onto the 6Tonner, but glad I made the call and went S40! Pretty much swapped all 15 used 3cx buckets for 3 new Engcon buckets

44.45 mm, found a new pin to measure today. Think that’s a gnat’s off 1-3/4”.
on edit, just seen Gecko’s post saying it is 1-3/4”.
