get it right or go home !!!!..... the drawings detail all the tolerances and any fabricator worth their salt should be able to reproduce a perfect copy to those spec.s ..... they're a piss easy piece of work
as for prices Robert ..... 150 quid for a pair of S 50 cheeks and pins is taking the piss ... especially when they are obviously made in such quantity and as you say .. jig built .... some one, somewhere, has got one hell of a mark up
I think you’ve answered your unasked question within the statement.
Reading through previous comments about tiltrotator manufacturers responding to customers with “ stuck” hitches and finding its a non oem attachment that is at fault.
Many things we purchase, you can look at and ask wtf is this so expensive BUT it’s not the cost of producing the 1 item your looking at, it’s the research development testing and jig building and the building it’s all housed in that still has to be paid for.
Seeing basic blocks of steel grabbed by a robot, multi drilled and finished in a few minutes is impressive BUT when you analyse it, it’s just a bit of steel with some holes in it
