Have a cat303( about 3.5t) and 8 tonner would like a breaker but needs to fit smaller machine really due to space available on some jobs. Be nice to fit on 8t as well but is it sensible to try and get one to go on both ie would it be a tad big or tad small? Better to get a well sized one for 3t and hire in bigger if needed? Will be getting refurbished I think.

We used to get one for our ex30, it had pins to suit either the ex30 or an ex60, it was a brute on the 30, but too small for the 60,if that makes sense. Just my opinion but one to suit your 3 tonner and if you need a bigger one hire it

Big size jump.. you need two breakers really... for example I shared a breaker between my 1.5 and 3 ton, even that was a big enough size gap really.

Different companies oops, think one for the 3t would be best, for most jobs and my wallet. Then I can hire a big one for 8t if needed.

Hi mate,
Not advisable to cross match the same breaker on both machines of those sizes, you will run in to overflow, weight problems. I see it a lot.
I can sell/hire you both those sizes, new or refurbished.
