Saw that truplant have them, they ain’t guys for cutting corners so must be alright?

They do look more like summer / spring gear. I have blaklader for winter, but it has to be cold to wear them as you just melt on an even a mild day!

I've a couple of Portwest long bomber jackets (IIRC they're RT32 pattern) - come a good 6" below the waist and some Helly Hansen bib & brace with zips to the knees ... have been out is some pretty pissy wet, cold days in 'em and been fine.

wet weather gear is a tool, treat it as such. generally get what you pay for. getting wet and cold going home costs a lot!
i have a few sets of older ones for the nasty jobs in sewers/rebar etc or nicer ones for just sitting on micro all day etc

lads have sourced some of the stuff the commercial North Sea fisherman wear like thick rubber bid and braces can pressure wash it basically that waterproof
