Bought two sanys - have I gone mental?

Sany rep from banner rang a few weeks ago to introduce himself and the Sany range. Sounded good on price, availability and back up but I thought the machines would be poor so I went down last Friday and tried a few in the yard. 1.7 and 1.9 machines both impressed me, I’d say as good or better than the bobcat/doosan equivalents. Bombproof Yanmar engine, not sure about hydraulics/motors but felt smooth and good quality. 2.6t not so much but they said they had a few with hydraulics not fully sorted yet. Felt to me that there was so much weight in dipper it would always be twitchy, they look incredibly heavy built but no noticeable counterweight.

Anyway long story short, bought 1 if each of the little ones and hopefully collecting today as both are needed straight away. Mix of self drive hire, 1 day operated local stuff and our own jobs.

Will try to keep thread updated as there’s plenty of talk about these machines but not much actual owner experience.

Deal was 16,500 for 1.7 18,000 for 1.9 ( the same machine with a full cab) then £750 off for buying two, no reduction for cash buy so took the two years 0%. 5 year warranty, 50hr service kit included to do yourself, can do servicing yourself if you buy the kit from them it keeps warranty or they can service @£70/hr mobile.

Needed these machines for a while but couldn’t face giving Lloyds anymore money for bobcats, service and prices both shocking.
Complete opposite at Sany so far, up front and straight, no rep bs. Will see if it continues, if it does I can see bigger machines being replaced too.

I like the Sany's, and they are the fourth largest manufacturer in the world to be fair. I regret not buying a 13t Sany with Blade when they where at plantworx years ago.
Out of curiosity what is it working out monthly for you?

sounds quite good to me, I kept looking at the 1.7 at the APF show in September, really liked it and was seriously considering one, but ended up going for my Giant skidsteer instead.
I'll be looking at them with real interest at plantworx , especially if I can get a go on one👌👌

About £1100. Vat plus 20% down, only finance cost to me is £150 admin fee but both machines on same agreement so only pay that once.

Sounds good mate, sounds like bobcat used to be. I bet the paint lasts better on the Chinese too….

What were you being quoted for an E17 / E19?
21 and 23 both with lead times, expensive servicing, less warranty (which actually counts for nothing with Lloyds anyhow) and a local dealer not interested in selling.

Isn't the same warranty only major parts for the first year?
Seems a good price compared to the "mainstream"
Be interesting to follow with updates of how they are going
