so was mine James ...... you do seem to have a superb weapon in that VA'd machine of yours ... and it really looks the biz ..... plus, your 800s are what they always were .. bloody great tools.yes I know, it was intended as a lighthearted comment.
For the record, as you all take the effin piss, I did have a fitter out, sometime in November iirc, for a plug n play session. All over a stupid adblue fault, I expect it might not be the last time I see the laptop soldier over AdBlue issues....
But it was honestly the first time I’ve had a JCB fitter out to one of my machines for a long time, so this last visit aside, other than warranty work, I’ve not had anyone out for a ’breakdown‘ for probably ten years. And before anyone says it, I’m not out there with the spanners myself on a daily basis either! Yes I look after my own kit when needed, and I’m sure if I really thought about it I could think of a few repairs I’ve done myself, but nothing big springs to mind recently. To be honest, as much as I love them, if they were grief all the time I wouldn’t entertain then at all, but they simply are not.
Rory thinks I’m Zen, not sure about that, I’ve got enough on my mind/plate, like most of us do! But one thing that doesn’t keep me awake at nights is worrying about the colour of my diggers! Have I got “the patience of a saint”?.......I’d say no generally and owning JCB certainly doesn’t test that patience. I’m happy with my little lot, it’s taken years of hard work for my father and I to build the fleet we have now, and I’m not ashamed to say it’s predominantly JCB based. Dads first machine was a secondhand JCB back in the 80’s, and they’ve been good to us over the years. I see no need to change. Nothing I read or see makes me think our machines are the wrong colour. There are machines failures everywhere and of every breed you like. Me, I’m happy enough with JCB, maybe even a little zen?
Anyway, rant over! I’m going to go and get on with something before I go off on one about patriotism and supporting British manufacturing

Kelbelco have a couple of servo micros too Doob. Tom Edwards has one if you remember from the old forum. Looks a good machine. Can’t imagine it will be long before JCB and others update their range
been trying to persuade Tom to sign up ...... looks to be doing well and always takes plenty of pix of his work ....... and yeh IIRC he had one of the first available here
No servos but as I said I don't mind driving it at all. People complain about using sticks as it been uncomfortable but I'm fine all day every day...probably just me.
