Customer of mine loves his. Hitachi 1.6 ton thing is a bloody nice machine on the flat. No good for hill work at all though.
Hitachi Micros are good tools too, but unusual.

On my old one if you take the rops off its 680mm with it on around 700-710.
Has a counter weight and it's ram under boom, lift height is at least 300mm higher than E10. Power wise they are about the same as the e10 (tb210r more powerful on paper) my old machine could just about move (drag) a full bulk bag of shingle the doosan can't and it's not even close but it's probably down to the lower lift height and quick hitch
Tb108 also does 90 offset boom in both directions

About right, there was a point a couple years back where they where giving them away at 13k each as One call hire had gone scats and left a rake of them in hitachi's yard I believe.
FYI Hitachi's presence in the Southwest is Pathetic.... but they are a excellent machine.

Is this a good time to mention how good the jcb 8010 is 
. Bloody eye-watering new, but bags of power.
My e10 and dx10 are good as they are a proper zts with tracks out and that can make all the difference when in a tight spot.
People complain about pain work falling off on them but the e10 is nearly 5 years old and still looks mint.

8010 is a excellent machine.... doesn't rust either on account of its fiberglass shellIs this a good time to mention how good the jcb 8010 is

Jaw hire are now a dealer for hitachi they only started that in December, that should increase the amount of them around here

Sounds good depending on spec? @doobin said £19k on his top spec bobcat, and the same for a CAT.
I tried a 17u, the main minus points where, seemed a big step up from the track to the machine floor, and needed good revs going to track straight, otherwise it was fine.

Yes. And they are special order from the factory.
I love mine and boy has it done some work in the past.
Id like a proper micro plus but I've not seen one for sale for about 6 years. Lots of people confuse the micro plus for a normal micro 8010.

Micro plus is a 8010 with a 1.5t undercarriage on if memory serves me right?

8008 with the round boom 800 ish kg
8010 standard style boom 1t ish under carriage extends to 1m

Jcb micro 8008. Tubular boom 865kgs 700mm to 860mm undercarriage.
Jcb micro 8010 square boom. 700mm to 1m.
Jcb micro plus different shaped boom and longer dipper on a 1.5t undercarriage. So 1m wide to about 1.3 iirc

The jcb micro 8010 was called just jcb micro from the start, it was around 2010 when they put 8010 to its name

Take it places you that a 1.5-1.9t machine is too chunky. Cracker on slopes aswell... a mate has one. Serious performance, but a odd machine for most jobs.
