Beginning of November after a random email from local bobcat dealer I was quoted £17750.

If I was buying anything new right now I’d be bidding dealers very very low - there is a lot of 2023 stock sitting in yards that is about to be a year old, and machines are not selling. Put your offer on the table and leave it with them - if you are a serious buyer they will definitely give consideration to anything offered right now.

I went to a local high school to give them a quote to remove a few trees as they wanted to put a new footpath across a muddy area the kids were using as a cut-through. Whilst I was there with the maintenance manager a new bright orange Porsche turned up - the driver gets out in a hi-viz jacket, said his hellos and then popped the front bonnet to get his measuring wheel out. Turns out he’s the local tarmacing contractor and this is what he goes quoting in! (I’ve seen luminous lambos and pimped out range rovers in his yard too!)
He got the work as far as I know and I have to say I was impressed by his lack of giving a f**k!

Boots and a shovel in the porshe how can they argue! When I 1st went on site I used to think it would be cool to turn up in a lambo ferrari etc grab my tools and do a days work, just to see peoples reactions

I used to go to site in my civic typeR when the defender was already in use,, drums of diesel in the boot in bin bags, even took the auger in it once…. Soon got another van!

Mine had just popped 210hours so half that and the same year. Guess worth about £13500? Not that I am selling it.

No Idea, Ive been thinking about selling my one but will probably give it another year. Ive seen a few on ebay with over 1000 hours for £10,000 or more but unsure what sub 500 hours is worth. My ones 2019 so a little bit older.

As always... what people ask and what they get are two very different things.

Those of use who hold a lot of plant are about to receive a big hit to their net worth on paper, I suspect. Not that it matters.. if you can keep it busy or don't have the finance to cover.

I've paid off my E10, got 10 months to run on my E27 and 14 months on my tracked dumper. So basically another year and I will be £700 month better off. I'm hoping that the finance payment on a new alpine tractor with cab will work out about that. I'm also hoping I can weather a year of extra payments as I need one sharpish- got a solid month of work for on in January/February, a lot more in the pipeline, and I want one with a cab, heather and air con!
