Anyone else come across this? Seeing how much positive feedback idig gets I made some enquiries and was put onto this. It's less than half the price if i recall correctly. I think the cost savings come from utilising Bluetooth technology and Android, so there is no need for a dedicated screen as you use any smart phone/tablet and then install an app. Is an extra 3k for iDig worth it? I did alway think it was a bit expensive for what it is.

Its pretty much iDig functionality for nearly half the cost. The downsides I guess are you have to remember to charge the sensors and your tablet. And there's no dedicated light bar. But for the cost - these aren't really the big a deal.
2D guidance is a game changer if you work on your own. I don't think iDig is expensive really, considering how much it can earn/ save you. But great to see another competitor coming to the market with an even better price point.

Nasco are the suppliers, I had a long chat with one of the guys there. He told me it's polish chap who's developed blueDig. I got the impression that with the general improvement in tech and connectivity it's fairly easy if you know how to program an app and get the sensors to talk to a tablet/phone. There's a video on how to set it up to that's quite interesting - it helped me to understand how the 2d guidance systems work.

Here's the video for those who are interested. I do appreciate the innovation, like Gunners said, good that there's competition because I don't see why prices can't come down a bit.

product quality is a tad lacking .. rough old back plate and the countersink holes look like they've been chewed out, as have the screw heads - concept is great though

Agreed, imho regardless of how quick its supposed to return its outlay its still overpriced, as with all that sort of tech it will come down quickly, the bluedig looks ok and the tablet could be useful for netflix too 🤦, do the sensors need plugging in to charge ?

idig is charged magically by the light 🤷‍♂️ my hitch sensor is hidden so have to take it off occasionally and put it in the sun, otherwise it all lives in situ😬

A 2D setup is something I’d like oneday. I don’t employ a full time banksman/ dumper driver, but I just simply refuse to pay 7k for something that should be 3k! (I’d pay that tomrrow!)Your not telling me the kit is more than 2k??

It's not as polished as idig and there is a huge markup on it, roughly 1300 plus shipping, import fees and vat if you could buy direct but fair play to them having it locked up as sole distributor
