Now that is a fantastic example of up cycling yer creations 😊
Were you involved in the fab on the barge?
Notice the details, such as 4 x hydraulic 'spuds', make all the difference.
Graham @V8Druid will be along soon to talk about the shiny tish🤪
equally qualified to talk about the barge Dave, ;) having built 27 or 28, (never can remember which), modified/altered many more and repaired/re-bottomed dozens of 'em. :giggle:(y)

BWW had many diggers mounted on barges .. some were dire ..... Mog's'd have been one of the better ones IMHDO ... most of what they had were compromises or just totally ill conceived ..... had one sat in my yard for two years, newly commissioned which just didn't work ... sat there that long whilst they decided what they wanted done to it, after numerous improvement suggestions were discussed .... ended up being sold on as it was a pig's guts of a design (by one of their own engineers  )
Mog's kub has it all ... proper machine with vertical jacks ... proper working barge (y)...... only issue with the jacks is they run the risk of punching through the clay lining of the canal channel, unless equipped with BIG pads ... not an issue you'd ordinarily have with a jack leg barge in open water.

land and water used to get called into the Mon & Brec. for bigger works ..... but most of the time it just gets de-watered over winter .... 's only a deep ditch

No I bought it from British waterways it had a 3cx back hoe in it which was useless because if you slewed to the side it would tip the barge over😳 even with the spuds down it was dodgy that’s why I stuck the mini on top👍 as with a counter weight it was very stable even with the legs up, I had the spuds piped from the digger using the tracking levers and had a winch piped up to the blade control
the original fixed cab that controlled the backhoe had servo leavers mounted on the seat which I removed and used them on this😉

(hope it doesn’t slide off the screen🤔) that I salvaged from the scrap yard that had a burned out cab and hydraulics😉
