Yeah folds down. Narrows to 790mm and will do every bit as much work as my cx19c. Real handy little machine. Have it about year now. And have never folded the roll bar down yet. When I was changing from my airman I narrowed it down to two makes. This and kobelco. They were the only two I knew of that had just tracking levers at the front. Takeuchi and bobcat had a big box that you had to put a leg on either side that was pretty uncomfortable after a while. I think from memory the kobelco is abit narrower at 710mm.

You can see what I mean about leg room in this photos. Sunward looks a handy little machine aswell but has abig box that you have to put your legs on either side aswell.

I seem to remember you saying your cx12d was a beefed up micro. Is the cx14d just further beefed up or do the go to a different undercarriage/chassis

Warwick Ward in Harlow have a couple of cx12 and cx14 in stock according to their website.

In terms of legroom with the box tak 210 has far more space than e10 or any others no box would be lovely though

One of the best Micros I've ever sat on genuinely. Bit wild on the tracking TBF but a brute of a digger.
Makes a Tak 210 feel like a piece of s**t. Power wise it's more on par with a old school 1.5t machine. To be honest it's alot like the old 1.2t bobcats or pel jobs capability wise.

Im not 100% sure but I think the only difference in a cx12 and a cx14 is that cx14 has bigger hydraulic pump. The undercarriage and everything else is the same. Again I’m not certain on this. But I think the cx15 is exactly the same only it’s the electric version

From memory it’s a piston pump rather than gear pump. Can be specced with two fingertip aux rollers for grab and rotator. Proper owner op micro.

Yeah my main reason for changing the little airman was because of operator comfort. So I told my self when I buy this time I’m goina make sure it ticks most of the boxes. So servos were a must and leg room. Another benefit to the tracking levers is they have little foot pedals for tracking. So if you’re in a tight spot you can lift the digger and track with your feet (I think it’s spragging) some people call it. With the other makes you need to be like an octopus. To move the tracking levers with your hands at the same time as working the jib. lol

Yeah a little feature I like on my micro is when working the rockbreaker. The button is on the right lever. U simply push it forward with ur thump. And then there is a little red button at ur finger. When u push it that keeps the Aux on without you having to hold it with ur thumb.

A few other pictures from the day I got it. I spec’d the machine with a hydraulic hitch which was probly one of the best decisions I made. Not that common on this size machine but I’m glad I did.

Just a quick update, I've decided to look more into upgrading the 1.5ton.
As nice as the bigger micros are I simply don't wany to spend that much for a telativly small improvement on the back garden jobs that I don't really want to chase. I've also got a couple of biggish front gardens coming up that'll be ideal for a 1.5.

I have this this 1.9 ton case aswell and the little 1.2 is capable of doing everything the 1.9 will do minus the luxury of a cab for the cold days. But there is certain jobs the 1.2 is capable of doing that the 1.9 will not. What I’m trying to say is if you’re thinking of buying a 1.5 ton with a canopy rather than a cab. I really would consider the larger micros because I know from my experience with the one I have it is well capable of doing everything a 1.5 will do while still having that option of being able to go a narrow gateway of 790mm into a back garden where as your bigger machine will probly be minimum of 900mm.

Surely that depends entirely on whether you are comparing it to an actual 1.5 or the modern replacements of the 1.5 with range from 1.7-2.2 tonnes. Your 1.2 will invariably be slightly slower than the 1.9 at tasks. Whereas an actual 1.5t machine especially the older or more hire spec designs like the JCB 15c or Kubota kx015 there is going to be a far less obvious difference.
