Benford Single Drum Roller Timing Belt Replacement

Hi, i have a benford single drum roller which needs the timing belt replaced but am struggling to understand how to go about it..Do i remove the hydraulic pump or disassemble the clutch shaft so to be able to refit a new belt..this is my first post so am a little new with all this..

firstly - it's not a timing belt, merely a toothed belt and is not timed to anything.
you appear to have already disconnected the flexi coupling (the triangular bit with the 3 bolts) allowing you to slip a new belt onto the vibe drive pulley which drives the hydrostatic drive unit for the drum's fwd./rev.
you should be able to thread the belt between the fan blades to then get it onto hydrostatic drive pulley
or
you can put it on the hydo unit first and then feed it onto the vibe pulley.... once it's on just re-assemble the flexi coupling and job done ... don't recall there being any tensioning adjustment at either shaft to give you any additional slack .. 's a case of wrestle the belt on ... looks a very similar unit to mine, 'praps a little younger .. but the fwd/rev rod and brake lever look very similar as does the flexi

for ease .. drop the belt down behind the pulley to get max slack mount on to t'other and then wrestle onto the second

Ahh nice one i did think that myself
the old belt broke when attempting to remove it which is why i was doubting this method, timing belts have very little play in them.
Im still waiting on the new belt to arrive but wanted to be sure that was the best way before going at it..

this is my old girl ... know it intimately - have had it to bits a few times

ive sorted it just had to remove the fan the belt slides over the top..first time i done one so was a bit over cautious and the old belt was rotten..
