Benford 3000

Hi everyone
New to the group, I have a benford 3t 4x4 dumper, I am trying to date my engine, I've googled it and the information on the engine number and it states that the first 2 numbers are the date code, but my numbers are 45 it wasn't built in 1945 or 2045 it has a ts3 lister petter engine, any help will be greatly appreciated

Was once told first 2 numbers where decades and years since 1950, 45, 4 decades and 5 years. how true I don't know!
