plus one here .... would really like to know what the rotary actuator's like at side digging .... but TBH can't see it competing that well with rams .... the HPX clamshell I had here a while ago certainly shut with a 'clack' , but IIRC the spec. gave a 3 -ish tonne closing force, between the two rotaries .... wouldn't want yer todger in there though

I have always thought rightly or wrongly that the lack of a top hitch and no rams is prob worth the trade off.....

I think all the pressure to do it all ie change everything to s type -full control system - ec oil - etc etc puts people off ..... put me off when I looked at equiping the 8t

And it just doesn’t suit everyone’s ideas. Not saying I’d not make different choices if starting from scratch, but most of us aren’t blessed with a blank sheet of paper.

Yeah it certainly does when you're looking at a 60k machine then with all an all singing and dancing tilty setup it becomes 80k it can change ur mind fast

Yeah there will be a lot of people look at this thread and scoff ...... another thread about how a tilty is too expensive
but there must a point for those of us not at the leading edge where you get the majority of benefits of spinning/tilting without all the cost.

Always good to see different bits of kit doing different jobs (regardless of country!)

It is always good to see different kit and jobs, regardless of what your doing or what your using, and to be fare, think you lads should all start your own threads, be nice to be able to click onto someone’s own thread and see what there doing with there own set up, rather than potentially missing something of interest that gets lost amongst the way.

I agree with Ollie, start your own threads always intrested in what others get up to

Yes it's always interesting to see how different people tackle the same jobs I know I've picked up some different ways of doing things that are either easier or quicker

Yep thats one of the reasons I like to look at members blogs .... been working on my own a long time in the sticks and you dont get much opportunity to improve methods unless you arrive there yourself.

I'm the same, never with other operators to see what they do. Learnt to operate my walker by trial and error and watching videos on youtube. Trouble with youtube it can sometimes be difficult to tell the amazing operators from the lucky idiots.
Blogs are always interesting to see what other people do.
