Thats my thoughts too. Especially seeing as 50mm fits in the back jaws just fine!

Grinding stone in a die grinder, it's closer to 50mm than you think I'd say

You think? my die grinder is a stubby one I haven't tried to fit it in there but I don't see it being easy.

you do know that you have to attach a bucket to that to dig with ............................. don't you ??

Not sure what we did that got it so coated, old photos it's cleaner now

should fit I'd have thought .. would need a 45mm+ dia stone .... but can't see as you're going to need to take much out of there TBH

It'd do it with a stone that size on! They make stones that size for die grinders? I was thinking with an 8or 10mm burr!

Now we have seen the full pics.....the 50mm might be oversize with all that rust on it!!

They got brought with the QH years ago and when they didn't fit just got thrown in the shed Maybe I'll take some nice new photos for you tomorrow

You sure it's not a 2 inch pin you have there? 50.8mm?

You need to make sure the pin fits in through the front anyway, rather than in from the side, if you know what I mean?

It'd do it with a stone that size on! They make stones that size for die grinders? I was thinking with an 8or 10mm burr!

it's going to need to be a decent size as you'll not be able to get much angle on the grinder ... or a round lollipop .... I'll have a look see what I have sat

Yur not so much of a quick hitch if you got to take the pin out the bucket and slot in the side every time

One of my mates has a tool which is like an overgrown die grinder he got given, asked him to check the stone size on that, might be the tool for the job.

Yes, if it’s had the wrong pin rattling around in it then it might be worn, but wear rarely puts metal back in!
If you’ve not had the callipers on the pin, then CPS might be on the money with it being the wrong size pin.

True it had made the rear jaw mean a 50mm pin didn't fit, but that was due to 'wallering' out the sides around the jaw so the jaw didn't open fully.

You can see the wear and wallering at the edge of the qh in the photo I just attached. Hence why the 50mm (or 2"!) pin fits in partway. I think.
