drum pumps are cheap enough ... what was the difference in the 205 versus 10 x 20s Thomas ... haven't bought any mineral hyd in a long time, so not up on it ... big difference for the bio

have seen it done ... isolation of two systems ... was discussed a while ago for isolating the tip ram on me trailer .... would need to calc the volumes of both clamshell rams and then match a single to that ... do-able but quite a faff ... particularly for the frequency of use it'd get

£285 for a 200l and £36 for a 20l so £360 for 200l in drums
So I treated myself to a nice rotary pump at £36 farther than the nasty leaver pump
The only price I got for bio was ≈ 600 without looking and I didn't know what bio was in it so I decided to go with the flush of mineral

how many drums you put through it ?
I was lucky and managed to find out what was in mine ... bios do not like getting mixed, so probably the right action to take and will save in the long run

2 changes with a hundred hours running between to make sure it was well mixed and a filter each time I lost quite a bit when I re sealed the center joint so didn't want to put half a tank of bio back in I also knew I was going to be using hired attachments so I would've struggled to keep it cleen

The update I said I'd give ages ago.
Plated in and fully welded the sides of the frame, bit of strength and bit of tidiness I'd say.
Another quick photo in the day, added a second triangle in the corner where theres one tacked on, then plated them in too.

Then a bit of red oxide, followed by some yellow 'old jcb' colour, and its done' Not impressed with the yellow though, much too bluey for me, looks much better on pic than it does in person...

Maybe too dark an undercoat for the yellow.
Looks yellow enough in pics mind.

Have some light grey undercoat should've gone with that really, original plan was to go with black but when going to buy the black I saw the yellow and thought it'd look neat. Don't think I'll notice the funny colour once its been outside and in use for a bit

Got round to rebuilding that bucket the other day, not going to be buying a secondhand bucket again in a hurry... lets put it that way.
Seem to have lost a few photos of making the ears but basically cutting and grinding with the plasma, and some drilling and turning for the bosses, then tacked it all up. Very satisfying when it fits perfectly on the first test fit...
Welded the ears solid then, because it was a secondhand bucket, set to work trying to make it straight again
Cut the cutting edge off and it still wasn't straight. Basically I cut it free all along the weld holding the middle in, then with the bucket on the digger straightened it all out and tacked it up.
This is how much was left sticking out after I got it 'good enough'
Cut and ground that flat with the oxy and grinder, then welded it solid. Also welded a new 'nose' on the middle bit to extend a bit further over the cutting edge and hopefully keep it straighter.
Also welded some strips of 50x10 on the back of the bucket.
And out to give the yard a much needed scrape. Much better sized bucket on this machine than the poxy one we had before. Admittidly its not perfect, and still out of straight a bit, but it'll serve purpose for us. Be a while before I'm buying any secondhand buckets again lol.

Also recently made this waterproof toolbox for the front of the tractor, easily removable too in case you need to get close to something using the loader.
It'll get a coat of black at some point, I'll also stick the rubber down with a bit of silicone then too I expect.

Cheers. I think the box is either 2 or 2.5 mm, can't remember off the top of my head I'll have a look if i remember. Its pretty strong but I'd deffo consider going to 3mm next time just for extra knock resistance. I thought I was making it really big but in hindsight it could be a bit bigger. Also need to drill a couple of breather holes in the back or somewhere out of the rain as I'm getting some condensation especially with things like loadstraps and trailer cables being put in there wet.
Has he looked at right hand side step storage? I'd have put one there if the battery box wasn't there. Its always there and less in the way then.

I wouldn't put much faith in a van vault lasting very long
Very thin metal and if being thrown about and vibration dont kill it it will with out doubt at some point catch a gate post or hit the deck coming down a steep angle or when getting stuck
All the ones I've seen that size are 6mm plate but they also weights and sometimes bowsers and all-sorts combined

Thats what I'd do if I was going big. We've got a van vault and its Ok mounted static but I'd say you'd want to build a fairly sturdy frame around it if you were to 3pt mount it.
