You've watched far to much Andrew CamarrataTbh I've never used one on mine..... I have one gathering dust but am lucky that I tend to fell my own trees and thus leave enough tree to push it out.

Made mistake of ordering non hardox and have quite a few bent tinesA grading blade obviously becomes much more usable under a tiltly, would be easy to over spec. i think tempting to go to wide and heavy but like everything all depends on that its used for, much the same with rakes, what size gaps? Hardox is a must i think.
Trick with a rake under a tiltrotator is use it slightly offset at a angle and it’s like closing up the gapsI have a rake and ripper for the 1.7t but hardly use the 1.7t - done 100hrs in several years...they would be useful scaled up to the 6t for our job.
Hardox and 75mm gaps on the rake maybe.
If you have thick sticky boulder clay like we do a clay spade is real handy, got one for 1/1.5/3 and 5 make digging under pipes etc easy as wellTrenching buckets to suit the widths you need, digging bucket, rake, grader.
Sorted.
Got similar 3.7% on a new Timberwolf chipper through my usual finance guy at claas last month, Timberwolf’s subsidised offer through Arb lease was 1.5% more despite telling me I’d not get cheaper elsewhere!I did get offered 3.9 % on the wacker after saying there was no way I'd pay what they were after
forgot the essential forksHa ..brush is on my list, I sweep up many heaps of gravel every year.
So we got
Tilty with gripper
Trenching buckets
Digging buckets
Grader
Ripper
Rake
Brush
Thats a fair bit to organise trailing around between jobs.
You laugh but I forgot forks .....would be handy for ibc'sforgot the essential forks

I spent a few years on and off a backhoe and tbh I hated the things mainly becauae i never really got to grips with them - recently used one that belongs to an estate i work for and i was pretty crap on it and found it slow and frustrating ! yet I've seen good blokes on the right job make them look ideal ....alas beyond my skill set. They are on the front of the backhoe.....![]()
Ripper goes everywhere with me. Not just for tree roots - be breaking up stone walls with it this week, ripping out foundations, its pretty much replaced my breaker on all but the heaviest of slabs.
My breaker is the same, largely made redundant by the hook![]()
Brushes are cheap and worth every penny compared to pushing one by hand. I have a six foot by one foot brush that can go on my loader or excavator. Mainly used on the loader as it is faster. You can cover a lot of ground with a brush that size. Ideal for cleaning roads.
If you have a loader a bucket brush is even better. Amazing how clean you can get things and even get shingle out of grass if you are gentle
Any recommendations?
