Back actor lift capacity....

Any ideas what my NH LB110 back actor will lift? Been asked to position some concrete lego blocks but the larger ones are nearly two ton! Using front loader not an option as on a riverbank and don't want to point load the very edge.

Even if it it does lift them. Which I suspect it will but in very close wouldnt you still be too close to the edge of the bank?

My 3cx would lift 2ton… not on extradig obviously!
As a test see if it will pick something similar weight at your yard?

Those big 2 ton+ ones are real heavy, even with 16ton machine you know about them doubt you’d get much control or swing strength with the new Holland

Apparently the ones I need to lift are 1.5t.

I’ll have a play in the yard with a couple of bulk bags.

I reckon it will be fine if theyre 1.5t. a 3 tonner can swing an 8-900kg dumpy bag around and 8 ton case will easily do 2.5t close in. Would think your new Holland wouldn't be far behind the case for lift capacity.

The 432 would lift a rammax with extra weights on and go a tiny bit on extender. Used to fill front bucket for extra counter ballance but the 432 are heavy. 9.8t iirc.

What does the lift chart say? tbh if anything went wrong you’d have a hard time arguing you’re using the best/appropriate machine for the job.

I agree with Rory ... much more than a dumpy on the back of my old jake was pushing it, reaching far ... could pick and carry one ok, but start reaching, jacks down and front opened up and stretched out, you still couldn't get that far, 'fore things started getting airborne

Mine will lift a ton at full reach with the arm out straight in front of you. Over to the side its less obviously but helps if you have a full front bucket for extra ballast Lift chart says it will do 1.5t to 4.5m away, measured from the kingpost. Max lift on the chart is 3.6t at 1.8m! Not that I've tried that yet, but impressive nonetheless.
I have a feeling that being a contractor spec, mine might have bigger rams? But not 100% up to scratch on the differences between these backhoe models. I'm sure @DaveDCB will know.
None of this helps you @doobin because you bought a New Holland! But I am surprised nobody on the backhoe group on facebook knew the answer either.

Yep bigger rams on the backend, bigger engine, bigger front wheels and the rear axle is jacked up about 30mm(spacer between chassis and axle) I’ve been out of the backhoe game a little while now so don’t really know what the current machines have to offer. Be good to get some seattime in one again!

your M1520'd have been even better with the bigger bum on it .. by probably 500kgs (less yer tilty of course)
AQ = 360 - jacks down ..
F = FOW - 360 ..
AL = over front / rear in line with chassis
so good for 3.1t over front / rear at 7.6m .. 3.6t with the bucket off
