What’s best way to ground them?

my bulk tank set up had a wander lead in soft 8mm cable with a crock clip secured to the base frame, which in turn had a 3 ft earth spike driven itno the ground, plus it was also connected back into my 3ph supply's system too .. just clip onto a decent earth point on the vehicle when dispensing
you could make up a lead with a 3 pin one end using just the earth pin and crock clip on t'other (assuming your leccy system has a good earth point)
forecourt systems have none of this and rely on the dispensing nozzle/gun to make a decent ground connection
you'd have to be pretty unlucky to generate a static spark, but earthing the dispensing/receiving bottles would negate that risk (earth one and jump lead between them)

Cop who attended first thought it had vaporised the guy....but he rolled out flaming into a hedge!
Survived but hospital for months apparently.

I've personally dispensed tens of thousands of litres into vehicles and the refillable FLT cylinders ... used to do 2 x 2500L tanks a week sometimes more ... respect is the key word .... and leave yer fag elsewhere

they were all three on one long skid I made for them ... expected an artic to collect - wagon and drag turns up says just put the gas axe though the skid
all interlinked plumbing wise so had to disconnect it all .... they were empty (wouldn't dispense any more liquid, but 7500L of gaseous propane in 'em)
should all have been purged before doing anything with them, let alone transporting them, but Flogas were cowboys (as I learnt from my various dealings with them over the years)
