Glad I bought a Multione instead!

Maybe it’s something to do with the gas system that’s popular over there? I never hear of Avants catching fire in the UK.

Bobcat now do a compact wheel loader.
I was looking at the avants, I think they are all 20hp until you get to the 750 and then it's 50 or 60 hp but £40k++

Pretty sure its a rebadged avant

A mate was round getting some welding done to his Avant forks and told me he was using it few weeks back for tree work, all fine most of the morning, went for lunch, came back and tried to start it and smoke came pouring out some hatch somewhere. After they opened it up he saw a big nest of wires all melted together, no idea how or why it happened. Could have been mice I suppose, but really odd reading that post after him telling me so recently.

How much difference is there under the hood between Avant and Multione? is it same factory different badge or completely different gubbins underneath?

They are totally different brands, Multione is Italian.

Our avant fleet is coming up to two years old, 635s have been eating starter motors, due to sticky ignition barrels. One of the 860s has had a new dash screen due to water ingress, and two of the 860s have had new spools as the booms have been stuck out.

We buy it in bulk, and secondhand commands mad prices. I deliver a fair bit of it, and can see what we pay for it, what its made and what it goes for.

Case in point, I have delivered a u27, we bought it for 21875, sold it for 23000, in two years it has turned over 22400 in hires. That is just the hire rates, not including transport.

Yes but surely you’ve been lucky these last few years with new prices increasing by huge margins and thus bringing used prices up with them?
Will you be able to say the same next year or the year after that etc?
