I bet if I bought one I'd find a hundred jobs for it.

The only thing stopping me is that I can't think of any way we'd use it currently other than a posh yard machine!

No doubt with one you would find a lot of jobs for it. But far too expensive imho for the capabilities unless you really do have a lot of work to do which really suits one.

If these loaders are
£20,000-£35,000+ then what does a 1-2 ton high tip dumper cost new?

A tracked dumper is the same, at £16k for a 1.8t model new! It just about washes it's face however.

1 ton dumper about 14k. However big seller so plentiful second hand (pre covid loans anyhow) and for 5 to 6k you can get a tidy one with plenty years left in it. Probably run one for 3/4 years and get you're money back for it.

They do seem to hold their value well tho. Even before covid/demand bubble. If they come up second hand they are snapped up even when not much less than new price.

There was a fairly big ground workers near me who had 12 lads 3 wagons. 3cx 1.5-20 tonnes etc and a new avant 735. He jacked it in laid off his lads sold up and got rid of everything but the avant said was best thing he’d ever had.

Rarity value simple. Manufactured and sold in small numbers due to more specialist nature of them hence high prices. You'll probably find that for every person who can justify buying new there's 2 or 3 who can't but will pay 80% of new cost for a second hand one based on condition rather than age.

I used to own a compact hire business specifically for compact loaders. I went down the route of MultiOne and owned a few of there different models. Worst thing I ever invested in. If I was to buy machinery like that I would get a 412 or look at the Cast loaders very similar to MultiOne but made so much better without all the stupidly expensive plastic panels. Or if you wanted a tracked machine Cormidi do a good range.

Aiden has a multione @CPS
I have 2, well 3 actually at the minute.
They are a great tool, you can do a lot with them and I won't be without at least 1 from now on.
Be sure to over spec would be my recommendation , my 5.3 lifts 950kg on paper, but in reality it is more like 750kg.

I'd go for a cab to, and boom float is a big help with a sweeper or flail etc.

I did try to sell them new, and was appointed a dealer for N.I, but in short Multione Uk was full of empty promises and i just couldn't get on with them, so I'd say have a look at avant ;)

Well, I've enquired as to a price for a Multi One 6.3+k today. Also going to ask Cast for a price for equivalent.

I reckon I will use one, and woudl rather buy before prices get stupid (if they aren't already)

I’ve done ALOT of research on these. Personally I think Avant is the only one. Also the backup/service is most important. Others don’t have anywhere near the same service.

There's only a grand in it between avant and multione. With weights, 24.5k for the multi one 6.3k or 25.5k for the avant 630.

What should I be aware of between the two?

You are not far from me. If you want to come over and have a play on my Norcar in the yard you are welcome. Not quite the same thing as it has a conventional steering position, but you are welcome when we are about.

I got some prices recently and everything that could lift a bit over a ton was £35k+.
900kg lift and 20hp was £21-25k+

I was told 28k for a Multione 8.4k, that'll do over a ton.

Unless you mean including VAT?

Yeah but not really the spec I'd want, plus expensive.
Bobcat loader is 30k, in case anyone was wondering! And nowhere near the spec of the equivalent Multione or Avant. I don't forsee them selling many.

The Cast 28 was 24.5k- looks an OK machine but the salesman was pushy and clearly trying to shift what he had in stock.

The surprising thing about this morning was how quick every single dealer was in coming back with a price- I didn't expect that. The avant bloke seems decent enough- a bit west country but that's not a major crime :ROFLMAO: and I reckon he'd look after the product well. MultiOne apparently deal direct, and the guy I spoke to really knew the products which made a nice change. MultiOne were also the only brand not to slyly slag off another brand.

I'm leaning towards MultiOne, waiting for the finance company to call back and see if they'll lend me another 30k!
