Auto lubes on Excavators?

Not 360 but was foreman fitter in quarry with 2x cat 980 with auto lube,usual problems with bucket link hoses rocks,but worked ok,they had same two drivers on most of the time so that makes a difference,rest of mobile plant wasn't auto but had no problem with that either,was quite old school place n lads mostly from same village n took care of gear even with it working double shifts

in their interest to keep it sorted ..... no machine - maybe two jobs at risk ...... and hopefully took a bit of pride in the gear in their care

I have a MSP one fitted to a excavator and half a dozer groeneveld systems fitted to Dumptrucks. What are you wanting to know?

My old truck had auto lube on it, still on original kingpins, s cam bushes, and spring shackle pins, with a million k`s on it, still had to grease the prop shaft but easy enough to check the rest of the joints where getting greased while doing it. Also got a sweeper with auto lube on, similar hours to an other one with out, and the pins, bushes, and bearings, are in better condition.
Having it fitted has definite advantages on the life of components compared to regular manual greasing, unless your greasing every quarter a hour or so, you`ll know if a pipe has gone, as said above it will make a right mess.
