Depends upon what ground you are on.Is there an auger suitable to share between a dx10 and the 8026?
Yes, but you'd deffo want the PDX3 or possibly even the next one up, and take it very steady.Might be a bit optimistic here but would a 3t digger manage a 600mm auger? Not sure on the ground but mixture of backfilled stone and then what's believed to be brown clay
This is what digga have come back withYes, but you'd deffo want the PDX3 or possibly even the next one up, and take it very steady.

I went 9 and still found we had to trim sides to keep the posts in line, as the auger will wander with stones roots etc.View attachment 48361Finally getting around to re fencing the back garden. Only dug one hole and I'm already fecked off with it. Dozens left to do as another 40m of fence to sort with concrete posts. 100% buying a auger for the E10 next week. I can just squeak that down the side of the house/external boiler. What size auger for slotted concrete posts? Clay and occasional shillet here. Thinking 9inch might be about right.. or do you guys go bigger?
Would you go 10 or 12 if you had the choice to make again? 12” would let me do the odd strainer or gate post on the folks farm as well ..I went 9 and still found we had to trim sides to keep the posts in line, as the auger will wander with stones roots etc.
You need all the sizes mate. Cheaper in the long run than wasting concrete. I use a 6” in good ground for concrete posts or 8” if it’s rough.Would you go 10 or 12 if you had the choice to make again? 12” would let me do the odd strainer or gate post on the folks farm as well ..
I think possibly 12 but then have to factor in extra fill.Would you go 10 or 12 if you had the choice to make again? 12” would let me do the odd strainer or gate post on the folks farm as well ..
I shall use it for about 20-25 post holes to finish off my place and then it will hardly get used. Ground is clean clay here, but some roots and not confident on my accuracy. I will have to decide and maybe get a couple augers. It’s only a little E10 so smaller must be kinderYou need all the sizes mate. Cheaper in the long run than wasting concrete.
