I know what you are saying Druid but I can imagine allot of wannabes showing up at the auction house and bidding on a property to buy then at the end of the day when it comes to paying they either don't have the means or the mortgage company snubs them and the auction company is left without a buyer.
I can see it not being favourable for the honest buyers though.

10% on the fall of the hammer tends to deter the muppets, at all the property auctions I've been to ;)..... unless they're total pricks, like the bid addicts on ebay  .... and now't'll cure them

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: reckon you could trench that pipe up the middle of runway #1 at Heathrow with that Mog

Many a true word said in jest ;)

Many years ago they ran one the length of a runway in Norfolk to install new lighting. To guarantee backfill compaction around the new lights they simply laid continuous ducting for the cabling and backfilled with concrete.
The new lights were circular so they simply cored a hole right down to the ducts which gave them access to the cabling ( once installed ) but as the light unit was circular and fitted snug in the cored hole, there were no backfill issues.

Local company to me is selling up next month. They have some cracking kit. Change of business stated as reason for sale so probably won’t be a cheap auction.

If it creates an option to purchase then there is still a risk that the buyer can walk. It would need to create an obligation to purchase for it to have any recourse if the obligation is not meet!

Sale this weekend has some S60 attachments. Just remembered when I seen @CPS advertise his S60 bucket.

I’ve had a few bargains at Ritchie Bros on the timed auction stuff, the main auction never seems cheap!

Local small farm auctions on a shitty day seem to be the only place for bargains now.
