True but there are some genuine buckets kicking around, a genuine unused Steelwrist 2 foot went through Euro the other week for £200

Not sure wether you’d get away with a S50 been able to pick up S45, is the head stock narrower on a S45 than 50??...with the back pin slack been taken up with the wedges on the back?..a bit like the multi pin hitch’s??

the S50 is 20mm narrower than the S45 Oll ... but the S45 will not pick up 50mm pins ... same centres, but 50 mm pins will not go in a 45mm hook :(

I'd imagine that picking 45s with an S50'd be alright to move 'em about, but doubt you'd want to do much else

Yeh I get that 45 wouldn’t pick up 50, but wasn’t sure about 50 to 45 that’s all, I know in the past on my hitches, i was on 65 but could pick up and use 60’s when necessary.

There’s usually confusion with everything if it involves auctioneers that euros and richies have 😂 after many years I kinda get it but it can move so fast sometimes you put your hand up at 7k and they call it at 9k as so many others Doing the same
It’s quite daunting at times. Specifically if your on the net as you can’t say a word you also have to pic a item and bid, if it’s the item you picked you buy that one regardless and can’t pick another. Defo pays to go to the auctions

I'd put the relatively low price down to the hitch size. As has been said, S50 is not popular here - Norway is the place to sell them.

Certainly agree with that Ross, it’s not bad if your just following the van around or just waiting for your lot to come up, but it’s when it does come up you think everyone else is up for bidding on it, and have you set your budget to high or low or is it a risk buying it or not😱. Think everyone got a bit put off at the last one at Euro when we were in the area for these shears, cos a drone turned up!!! filming everything😎, must be for a bit of promo, but was quite funny to start to see everyone stop bidding for a bit and look up to see what it was 🙂

I know it's not a auction, but this strikes me as rather cheap. https://www.facebook.com/groups/Tra...38924169507425/?sale_post_id=2738924169507425

same as mine, but straight tip ... 4 sp box and shuttle, Perky (faser I think - flat top alloy rocker - IIRC no turbo) ... will go ANYWHERE you have the balls to take it
Jake axles, and transmission .. big wheels ... looks tidy ... I'd not think twice about another one of these ... have had mine 9 years ... ('s on an R plate, so 97/98) ... and has been awesome

Might not be popular over here Robert, but at £6k for a brand new unit, I’d be more than happy to have one, that must be at least half the price of a new one??....and with the amount of bucket manufactures jumping on the back of the ‘S Type’ stystem, pretty sure it wouldn’t take much to get some S50 headstocks knocked up and put on a set of buckets?.....and to be fare, most people who take a tilty, keep them for the long haul rather than just getting one for a job then dropping it back in the nettles😱.........a tilty is for life, not just for Christmas 😀

So what if they don’t promote it, certainly wouldn’t stop me or someone else from buying a brand new unit at that price and certainly not to give away another £6k for the losing of 5mm. And you can’t tell me if I phoned Robert up for a S50 bucket he’d say “no”?? They don’t promote PUP hitches but they still knock them out🤔....and if he did say no, pretty sure @CPS would step up to the mark and send me one across. Like I said, the majority of tiltys stay with the customer for a long long time, with machine been changed more regular than the unit🙂

Like Graham, I'd agree with you. If you are buying a new JCB and plan to keep it for a while then this is the bargain of the century. S50 implements can be ordered, they're just not stock. As far as the price is concerned, a new unit would cost 3 times this for a 9 tonner

Wouldn’t have to be a new machine Robert, like I’ve said to you and others before, the tilty is the business end of most people’s work, that’s why they buy them, as long as the machine can power it and your happy with the machine, it doesn’t matter what age the machine is, pretty sure your not fitting your units to just new machines??....and as for price, it certainly is the bargain of the century🙂

I know your not😀, but it’s not like there not making them anymore, and as I’ve said, there’s plenty of manufacturers who could get you kitted out with a set of buckets🙂.

There is definitely S50 knocking around out there. I Have definitely made S50 brackets and a few buckets.
S45 is the "unofficial" UK standard spec..... but if you want S50 il get it for you😀.... but will warn you that the chances of picking up second hand or "borrowing" attachments will be slim😉
