Never seen a tracked mini with a plate before, why would this be? My E10 and counterbalance FLT are insured on my fleet policy for road use, and my Moffett Mounty is plated (as a fire engine oddly, so £0 RFL)

For road works. If it isn't working within barriers in a lane closure. Even if tracking down the road to load on a trailer away from the site then it needs to be road registered and operator hold cat h driving license. And yes people have been nicked for it and 6 points.

I don't think forklifts would get you in as much trouble. As the thing with mini diggers is getting done for driving otherwise in accordance with your license. And thats the 6 pointer. Whereas forklifts are wheeled so would be a lesser charge for it not being registered

I did look at this briefly a couple years ago as my little forklift can have a GVW of 7 ton which is outside my B+E

I just used to chuck the trade plates on my FLTs if venturing out on the road/nipping up into town to do someone a lift

My Moffet has plates... but you try and find out if I'm cosher to trundle a pallet up the road for a 100 metres. Mine field. I wonder how many on here have Cat H on their licence? Might be worth an extra post.

I'm guessing noone. Haven't even seen it asked for in any job adverts for machine drivers on highway work.
Only People I know of who have it at for driving cat challengers.
