It's a feature that I'd want on a little tracked barrow. Hoping to stumble across a nice used deisel kubota/hinowa at some point. Was 11K + vat for a new one last time I checked (probably 2 years ago)

Yeah but isn't the point a track barrow should go with a micro digger...and the only reason you have a micro on the job is because there is a very narrow bit to go through.

Often yes, hence retractable tracks? If you're not in a narrow spot you get more stability and can operate more safely at greater speed/output. Surely retractable tracks gives best of both worlds?

My dream dumper would be electric. It would be so nice to not have to wear ear defenders all day as they all seem to use air cooled engines.

I agree our cingo is rarely used nowadays ...its brilliant but noisy af and gets tiring quickly, its an application where electric might actually make sense.

intresting that auction company leyburn address is located at Metcalf farms depot and farm I believe does anyone know if they have branched out in auctions ? or have they just rented somone some space to hold auctions there .

been doing sales for a long time under GPSV banner - both auction and listings ... God knows how they got on the MOD disposals list, but think they move a lot of MOD gear about

Scam but slightly more sophisticated scam. Seller has lots of kit at cheap but not blindingly cheap (to the uneducated). Only when you dig a bit deeper do you find littler errors.

What’s the premium % on those auctions? That’s the trouble with being down on the bottom of the country, the good deals can be a long way away. Lots of stuff pops up South Wales as it’s over the water and comes up on radius searches but can be a 10 hour round trip!Examples

must've gone soft ... or come up with a n other way of fleecing bidders ... probably charging a huge entry and exit fee through the gates to collect plus massive loading fees

buyers premium is a new 'device' really ... never had it 15 years ago ..... commission came off the sale price, paid by the seller along with entry fees ... just another way of creaming money by greedy auctioneers ... all they'd get would be entry fees if folk boycotted a few auctions, then attitudes might change
