do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
VERY cheap lathe ATM ... short bed too :giggle: ... hard to find

even with 25% buyer's premium ... well equipped ... dare say the RAMS'd deter a lot from bidding, not having seen the site .... want a.n.other Mascot @Mogman

View attachment 49826 current bid wouldn't buy you a #3MT sleeve, let alone a #5MT
still a very cheap lathe, if anyone fancies it

Could be a fun project if you're local! I reckon you'd get it for less than what's being asked.... I wonder quarterly scrap value is??

Scrap value would be £4-500🤔
if that was near me I would be charging him £400 to shift it😉 and I’d keep the machine for the scrap value😉

My thoughts 👍
Going to be interesting to see how it pans out price wise.
@Monkeybusiness
I can’t ever get excited about these auctions for run-of-the-mill work stuff sadly. I’d rather just ring Sorbus when we need anything and know it will turn up complete, undamaged and at the right price. It might cost a bit more than an auction win but I’m far less likely to end up with a load of gear I don’t really need/won’t ever use ‘because it looked cheap’!

yeah ... easy to get lumbered with often unusable stuff - no paperwork/whatever .... dead easy to pay new or more with all the add ons these buggers charge these days

Even with dispersal stuff, auctions now primarily deal in the stuff no one wants or isn't saleable through legitimate routes ( where warranty and guarantees apply ) 9 times out of 10 the good stuff is sold separately, and they leave the junk for unknowing punters to bid up.
