I need someone to talk me out of this. I can see it being handy on shed/farm project.

Went and took a look. Fully working mechanically but 31 years old and local builder owned. Allegedly bought a few years old from dealer with cab already rusting. Pretty sure it's not had a decent maintenance schesule or seen much grease. All pins as dry as an old nuns chuff. Seller has put a LOT of work into the cab metalwork. I'm going to pass it up as I can't afford the time for anything else that needs lots of love. If I was semi retired with a shed it would fit into... then I would have it at £8000.
Runs very nicely and lots of power. Plenty of life left in her for someone.

Oooh. Had a quick look...saw the Bridport and shut the page down quickly 😑
did look at it, but I have my Ajax on 40 INT. .. I'd certainly be watching it if i was in the market - variable speed and power cross feed too ... some stuff goes real cheap there sometimes

I'm old enough and have owned a few of these including a little artic like that with a 30ft flat single axle and my old 18t D1100 with a scissor lift bed on it - ex-airside food loader onto aircraft - had done less than 50k miles when I bought it. Ripped the box body sides/roof off it, new side raive and drop sides, plus hand rails ... made a great work platform - went up 18.5ft and'd lift 8t -- done a few jobs with it I couldn't have done without it ...
looking a bit sorry here ....

yeh was an impressive lifter .. jack leg at each corner and an enormous scissor lift under it ... took the body apart as the bed was a seriously nice unmarked ali plank floor and with the side panels off, it was a simple job to fit a new side raive .... made a remote to use on the bed so we could control start/stop & raise and lower from up there .. could put all sorts on there with you - genny/welder, oxy gear and materials 25ft x 8ft work platform you could have held a disco on ... don't have many pix of it and all paper .. see if I can find some - was also good for machine moving from 1st/2nd floors .. jack up and skate gear out onto bed, which didn't move as you loaded it as it was sat solidly on its jacks ... had it taxed as goods so could carry loads about too :giggle: .. would carry 45 foot beams no prob.s
won quite a bit of work with that old girl, including 4 regular hedge cutting jobs for some seriously tall hedges .. rock up, get along side, put customer on the bed with his hedge trimmer, get the deck chair out, climb on board and run the controls, while they did the graft :giggle::giggle:

Sent this to my mate who’s yard is like a tractor dealers yard few million quid of kit for a 1 man band, but got me thinking how does a trailer like this pay its way! Hooked to a 200k fastrac etc as well when a 16k 8 wheeler do the same for less fuel .
