Cost me £21,000 to have the Aspestos lagging removed from the exhaust on the ‘big boat’ I’m cutting up. took them 2 weeks, big plastic tent, decontamination trailer the works took 1/2 a tonne away with them

But sure you must have got half of that at least for all the pistons you sold

crush 'em up, mix in with sub and lay a slab on top of it all just keep a few samples and your test result handy ...... for some time

Anything you would do with normal inert building waste. It says you get a proper lab certificate showing it is or isn't asbestos so give a copy to your waste carrier if you are sending it away and it should go at inert prices rather than hazardous waste prices.
If it is asbestos at least you know you haven't unnecessarily paid asbestos prices. For £20 worth finding out.

Hopefully yours doesn’t contain asbestos.
