Anyone know a way of tracking actual usage of a machine when rented out? I.e Contracted vs worked hours?!?

Been looking at MachineMax which seem to fit trackers /and/or plug into the APIs but wondering if anyone has any experience?

Is it to stop the rental machines working 24hrs with a change of driver?

I’ve never hired one out but would feel a bit peeved if someone had ragged the s**t out of my mini for 24hrs for £60😂

Maybe they put it in the contract about working hours on rentals?

Why is writing down the hours before it left and when it comes back an issue?
Have read somewhere about large quarries having hire kit on hourly charges for machines so trying to get ops to shut down when not in use

HE say maximum 50 hours per week in their hire agreement. Not sure what happens if you go over, I guess they charge you extra days.

Skelton plant hire turn the machines off remotely if you offhire but they cba to collect. Real pain when they don't collect for a week and the machines in the way.

And the mod have all the kit sat there and only pay rental on the hours.

I think a guy local only charges hire rate on hours clocked on the machine, hence I've also hear people asking where the live to the hour clock can be pulled 😬 I can see a tracker being useful in this situation

My tracker has the ability to detect movement & send an alert.
It can also have a signal sent to it to activate a switch that could disable it.
