I'm looking at a conveyor on ebay, but I don't have a great feeling about the seller. If anyone is close and would be willing to call in and see if it exists and is as described I would be happy to pay for their time.

Just a quick update. I’ve contacted the seller twice about calling in and am getting a resounding silence. My gut instinct was obviously right, which is a shame as I had been on the lookout for this particular conveyor for some time.

What conveyor are you after?

A Mace shifta 5.4m. They are really handy modular conveyors that you can link together. Already have a couple of shorter ones, but want a long one. Most are so second hand as to be useless, but this promised as new.

Deal with these all the time though my work as you say when they are new they are a great bit of kit but second hand they are nothing but trouble to the point we have 3 in our yard that are scrap with bent frames at the motor mounts and also one needs a new motor as it has shagged the bearings and they are none replaceable and that is from the mace mobile engineer who come to fix them. also the rollers smash so easy and seize up so fast though stones catching. I could go on with the problems we have with ours but then we are plant hire so they do get abused alot
