Hi I am a fan of military vehicles, what could you tell me about the trucks and military vehicles AM General usa, the vehicles of the American marines, I think robust reliable, with big winches, the thing that does not convince me is the protruding front nose, I do not think it is very agile and manoeuvrable in the country paths and in the mountain hairpin bends, could you show me the most significant models, thank you?

M816 Medium Wrecker is part of the M-800 series of 5-ton 6x6 military trucks. It is made by AM General. It has a revolving hydraulic crane with an extending boom that can extend from 10-18 ft with a maximum lift capacity of 20,000 lb with outriggers and boom jacks to the ground. The boom capacity depends on boom extension and placements of truck outriggers and boom jacks. With boom full out and no outriggers, the capacity is only 3000lb. The boom elevates to 45 degrees, swings 270 degrees stock

"the protruding front nose" looks to be a handy weapon for anything in your way ... just give it a nudge ;):giggle:

My Dad has a M35, the series before the ones pictured, which he shows.
The recovery one pictured looks to be of the earlier series than the others pictured.

The protruding front nose, is on the winch equipped models, on one without the bumper is just under the grill.

I think long nose trucks are not very agile, then the nose or long nose steals space from the body, instead of mounting the engine on the nose you mount it like normal trucks in the cockpit, you add space to the body and you have a better view I'm wrong, like unimog, the long nose is useful for maintenance open the hood and do maintenance and checks, in those with the engine in the cabin it's uncomfortable you have to overturn and open the heavy cabin hinged to the frame, right? ps the pizza and the Calabrian pitta the kitchen my aunt in the garden has built an artisan oven with solid raw bricks built by her with clay baked in the sun, does anyone have a pizza oven in the garden like a grill for the chops? very useful during parties for banquets at home with friends and relatives.

which truck would be the one in the video?

the pizza is Neapolitan therefore the Neapolitans are undisputed masters, the pizza of the pizzeria is rotoda and thin while that of the bread baker what they make in the baking pans is thicker and softer, the Neapolitans make a middle ground about 10 mm thick 1 cm, however in Naples they make excellent ricotta sfogliatelle as well as the legendary rum babba. they go back to the truck better am general or Oshkosh? thank you, in the countryside we have all the comforts in the backyard, the vegetable garden the oven the grill for the coals and a large comfortable banquet table where we meet with friends, relatives, villagers and acquaintances also in Bari and throughout the south. banquet is a custom of hospitality and community.

I built one using a precast concrete kit then clad in brick at my old house but didn’t insulate under the base snd sat in on a 4” concrete worktop I’d cast so it never got hot enough.

next one at nee house is going to be like this one with couple of kamado next to it for outside kitchen.
