Aluminium loading ramps

I’m thinking of buying a set of aluminium ramps so I can load my E10 on the back of my transit without messing with a trailer. It’s got the factory vfs body on which the tailgate pivots underneath so I can’t add a rail to hook the ramps onto. Has anyone come across this or found a solution?

Have a look on ramp suppliers website i got mine off cm plant they have a website the ramp company, you'll see the different connection types on there. Easiest in your case is drop a pin/ bolt through but that would mean drilling a hole in the floor. Can secure with a chain but personally long term i think be a faff

What gaz said. For my e10 I use a set from theramppeople, about £600 but well worth it. Secure with pin into hole drilled in deck. Much easier than steel ramps.

ive got a set of muck truck ramps going since my muck truck got pinched couple years ago. Handy for skip loading as well.

£500 ? Think they are well over a grand new.

Came across these locally. Seller had them made for cross loading his transporter lorry and sadly don’t think they’re stamped with any weight limit details. Worth a look for £200 or not worth the risk?

would've thought they'd handle it ... other wise if worried get a few stiffeners welded either under neath or on the top edges ... like some 70 x 6mm flats on edge

well the main bearers look to be circa 3" deep section, so should handle your m/c as is ... but if you get too much flex, some stiffening ribs at the edges either on top edges or the undersides, suitably shaped to clear the deck would make a hell of a difference to their load bearing abilitites

They look identical to the ones sold by the local mower dealer that all the local comercial gangs use for loading there mowers which must be well over a tonne especially the big ransome 5 real and 6ft cut kubotas

For £200 well worth the risk. They look properly made. If you are worried ask him if he would mind you running your digger up them to try. If he is confident they are good he shouldn't have any issue letting you try 1.2t on them.

Just got back. Not quite as long as I’d hoped but should be able to do something with them. The guy threw in an extra ramp as it was going for scrap otherwise so could possibly extend them.

Put a 12v winch at the front of the bed.... will prevent any unfortunate mishaps I'd sooner have a winchline than try to extend them tbh.
