This was last weekend, Could of done with Rob and his new hiab ticket and if he had still been there I would of called him up as this was about a mile from his caravan at Sandiacre. the class 66 failed with a couple of thousand ton behind it so the driver of new 66 coupled up to the front and pulled with all the horses a 66 can muster without checking a few things 1st
failed 66 not only failed but now has twisted axles within bogies
how do these people keep there jobs......... Tom bought it down from Glasgow and I went up to meet him at Toton/Sandiacre to unload it with the ramp and hiab. A fully fuelled 66 is just over 130 ton so with the tractor and trailer we were down at 215.5 tons, so a slow one and it was routed because all the bridges in this country are failing across to Edinburgh and down the A1
