There good, won't lift a container realistically (will just about but it's touch and go big time)Anyone ever had anything like this or got something like this? Intrested to know thoughts as a farm/yard machine. Just to lift occasion thing and possibly relocate an empty container time to time.

Only a 20ft container not 40ft. I was always under the impression a 20ft was roughly 2.2-2.4t empty. Which must be half right as lifted one with a telehandler on chains once which could only lift 2.5t max and less with boom out but it lifted it. Just…. Ha!
A place I worked at once had some of them, as @JD450A says international tractor based, mast bearings were pricey we could only find OE at the time.
. You can get higher capacity versions but mainly new models. 
They were International skid unit but can’t remember which one. They were generally reputed to be the fastest RTFL on the market but Coventry Climax made one that certainly ran it close.
they will lift a container just ,put 1/2 a pallet of cement on the back and it was ok ,but dodgy

Listed as 3 tonne forks, we've only ever used it up to roughly 1.5 tonne ourselves but should still do the 3 tonne. Its 186cm width across the wheel arches, wheel base might sneak in slightly lower.www.ebay.co.uk
Its obvs home made but how much better/worse would it be for being centre pivot?
I like the fact you can get a spanner to every part without stripping stuff and the older dumpers were pretty simple right?
Now that is a mongrel...I did see this! But not that keen! I did actually see a dumper and forklift on the back… hang on let me find it! It’s something special. But admittedly wouldn’t lift what I want.

that's the ones I've driven a fair bit ... timber frame outfit I used to do a lot for had three and were bloody good lifters ... big lumps, but had a hell of a lock .... they'd handle a 20 footer no sweat
It's one thing picking a 20ft container up quite a big difference moving one though as said previous when you're load centre is 1250 away from the mast.
agreed .... but the timber frame guy's ones I used fairly regularly were always equipped with 8ft fork extensions (made 'em new sets regularly) and were used day in day out for shifting and loading packs of timber framed panels into their storage yard/onto artics ... packs were going 2-3 t each, especially the floor panels ... handled them very well ... admittedly a little light on the steering, but did the job fine.
