Went to aeropark today with family. Good value day out adults a fiver and kids under 5 free. Nice place just to have a picnic if you like looking at the places taking off at ema. I'm no anorak but do enjoy watching them take off and land and having a look round the retired ones. Went in a seaking helicopter. They look surprisingly flimsy built to my untrained eye. The walls seem pretty thin. Sat behind the wheel in a nimrod. Got told off for being a bit too enthusiastic with the steering with my lad as co pilot. Looking back at the photo there's a sign right there telling you. 🤣🤦‍♂️ its also surprising how recent some of these planes were in action. The chopper flew in Libya and both Iraq wars. The nimrod was retired there in 2011. Anyway if your passing around j22 m1 and want an afternoon out or break a journey up id reccomend.

Nice! There's another a bit further up isn't there Newark way? Sure I went past it a bit back.
