you did slip it into neutral once you'd parked up ...
This'd fit with the engine not starting (if the battery wasn't flat).
The Neutral interlock prevents the engine starting when the shuttle isn't in neutral (guess how I know).

No... I did check all these potential start prevention possibilities.

Neutral... foot on brake... etc.

I even put the seatbelt on!!.... as this pro12 might be a dinosaur now.... but the last time I touched a 3CX it was a 70's model, such as myself!

Oh well - it was a good thought!
My experience is limited to the previous model (12 - 1 = 8 ) P8 (there's some non-Newtonian maths for you)

Mine has a problem somewhere in the interlock systems - I just haven't found it yet,
