drop a grab hook off one end and put one of the above on in its place
or get 3 of these and drop a choker hook on the 'open' end of one of 'em
can use all three connecting with the grabs and stick a spare grab on t'other end of one to give you a grab both ends

Yes if you can find one long enough but then it will be quite heavy. Have you got any photos of said lake/trees might give us a clearer idea what to recommend

that drop chain'll not be cheap for what you want to do with it ..... remember the moment you use a lift chain to tush/pull with it is no longer a lift chain or ever will be again -- no way of knowing what loading it has been exposed to
