Advice needed from the resident heating boys

Thanks for reply , yes he is a reputable heat pump guy. He has taken the sap calcs and house plans to work out the heat loss . It needs a 13kw pump . I’ve done a few installs over the years and he’s the most reputable . I’m fortunate that he lives just around the corner now as well ! I’ve left all the joints exposed but didn’t have the luxury of leaving the pipe exposed . I had to do one loop at a time and some of the trenches were so wet I needed to backfill (carefully) at the time before the trench fell in . I’m very confident that the pipework is good as I had a man in the trench checking as I back filled it .
He has a big commissioning pump . A very impressive set up . It’s a large submersible fixed to a frame inside a big wheelie bin . Seems from the advice that I need to get him back with pump and leave it running longer as the issue is likely trapped air

When you first test plastic you need to stretch it a bit with higher pressure then drop pressure back and let it settle before measuring it.

What do you use to put the pressure in ?

we are lucky excellent tap pressure ,8bar

I have a smaller pump that I use for filling ufh pipes.
Would it be worth me getting some fittings upto inch male and connect my pump to it and pump from a decent sized container with the return going back into the container and leave it running for a few hours . I could also leave the valves open to let the air valves bleed while it’s running

Always had someone else do the GSHP commissioning , but think the flow rate was a lot higher than the my UFH/Solar pump. Can’t hurt though!

I’m now feeling fairly confident that my pipes and connections are good but I’d like to try and get the air out so I can set the pump to run while I’m working there

Half an hour or so should be enough.

I would think that a good flow rate would be more of a friend than actual serious pressure for clearing the air
