It’s what I do!
Came in a bit late on this one, the accumulator is on the pilot block, but if the accumulator is not holding pressure the machine just relies on pump pressure, if you put it into auxiliary mode, with the key on, not started and press the right hand toggle button side to side, it should open circuit the pilot valve to tank, the accumulator will when working give pilot pressure to the levers to enable the services to work without pump flows, for a short time only, if you adjust your flows on the screen in Aux 3 or 4 to zero, and switch to this mode when you want to dump pressure, right toggle left and right, it should empty the hoses!

Or buy two”T”s of the same size as the two hammer hose fittings (3/4 bsp) get a tap and a hose to join them together somewhere, turn the machine off, and turn the tap on it will dump the oil from supply to return!

Must be sh*te fittings tbh the worst thing i find in them is pecker and then crushing bucket everything else fine. I don't buy holmbury flat face, it could have been a bad batch but 20 mins pecking was blowing the the end off the male fittings.

Yes Mick I used to use this process to release the pressure but it has always been at best a bit unreliable and lately not at all .... which started the search for the famous accumulator

I suspected they were shite as the used box slowly filled up ... will have a look at what make they are.

I must say I have been called out get hammers on and off for customers, and to change flat face couplings after they have been attacked with a claw hammer or a shovel! It could be that the pressure is in the attachment!

By pure coincidence a dodgy accumulator featured on Gold Rush this week, looked the size of an oil filter cartridge.

Must have been a bad batch, I trash any other brand in a month or two, but I still have Hombury fittings in use that were originally fitted on my Hyundai over five years ago. Nowadays I won't use anything else.

will almost certainly be attached to your dead man solenoid control valve, which your dead man switch has control of ... either follow the wiring back to it, or any or the P lines feeding a servo op. service ...
